2010 Is Just Around the Bend

I was starting to do some family event planning for next year and realized...I don't have a calendar! Luckily, our gorgeous 2010 calendars have arrived. We have a lovely selection of wall calendars, both regular and family planners, and even those convenient wallet calendars on our checkstand. Great for keeping in your purse.

Speaking of calendars, our popular Mom & Me event is back! You and your child will together make an 8x8 2010 calendar. (What an awesome gift for Grandma!). It's 2pm - 5pm on Saturday, November 21. Candice is your hostess. Any of you who took her kids summer scrapbooking know she is terrific with kids and is the Queen Bee of cupcakes and cocoa, so bee ready for some fun! Cost is $27 per child. If you have two children, cost would be $27 x 2 and you would help them make 2 calendars (and have twice as many cupcakes!).
Our Mom & Me events fill quickly, so sign up today! (714) 838-1200.

Teresa News

Our two Teresa Collins classes on Friday, November 6 are SOLD OUT! She is beeyond thrilled and so are we. We are working to get in her T-Drops and other goodies you can purchase after she inspires you with her designs. We do have a wait list for these classes *just in case* spots open up. We wanted to share that our friends at Ever After in Vista (just an hour south of here) have some spots left in the two different classes she is teaching on Saturday, but they will fill fast! The Documentation Trasparency Album looks like fun:

6x12- DOCUMENTATION TRANSPARENCY 1-4 pm Come get your bling on with the one and only Teresa Collins. This one-of-a-kind, all-new designed 6x12 book starts with a glittered cover and then it's just transparent throughout, that Teresa's style is like no other. This class will help take the fear out of using transparency. Learn how to make your own beautiful book from scratch- with a sparkly glitter cover and inside pages of 6x12 Teresa Collins transparency. Using the latest and greatest T-Gems and T-Drops make this project sparkle!!!! The theme of this book is DOCUMENTING...What story do you want to document? Using only 4x6 photos, bring 30 of your favorite 4x6 photos. Please bring them in both vertical and horizontal orientation! (Teresa's project sample is in black and white with a white border edge). This book is stunning and will grab the attention of anyone who sees it!

They also have a couple spots in the Gratitude Album class, and you can read about it here. Buzz over to their site and give them a call to sign up!

Add Some Spike to Your Knitting!

New from New York Yarns - Spike and Spike Prints yarn. Spike is a novelty yarn among novelties! Traditional eyelash is carried on a worsted weight carrier woven tape and ...the eyelash is a repeat! So as you knit you create bands with eyelash and bands without eyelash. The possibilities are endless...broad bands for narrow items, irregular repeats for larger/wider projects. The prints are amazing as the eyelash and carrier yarn are both printed. Fabulous for accessories, home decor, kids and garments. 100% polyester 1-3/4 ounces (50 grams) 98 yards -4"=14 stitches on size 10-1/2 needles.

Glam Knitting: New Sparkly Yarns

A new yarn collection called "Vegas" from Vickie Howell by SWTC is here! This playful yarn has a thick and thin texture and a fine metallic thread through it. Made from SOYSILK and fine wool, we love Vegas knit on big needles for a soft fabric. For a different twist, try knitting and felting with Vegas - the results are fabulous! 29% soysilk, 67% wool, 4% metallic thread.
