Meet the Bees & Spread the Word

One of the hardest parts of closing our doors is saying goodbye to our amazing staff of dedicated and talented Bees. In addition to their awesome customer service and creativity, they all have great qualities that would bee an asset to any company lucky enough to work with them. Below is a little bit about each Bee. Please feel free to contact us at info(at) theredbee.com for further info.
Michael
Michael was our very first hire before the store was even open! Mike's Window Washing is his own company and he would love to hear from you for your window cleaning needs: 714-306-6606.

Estevan
Estevan was our second hire before we opened the doors! He has been a lead responsible for opening and closing. He enjoys practicing MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). As a five year veteran of the Bee, he is much loved by our Friday night regulars. He also has experience working the Bee booth at the local Expo scrapbook shows. Needless to say, he is extremely reliable and trustworthy and would be an asset to any business. Contact him at 714-380-2691.

Simeon
Sim is an alumni of FIDM and graduated with an AA in Graphic Design. He enjoys design/art, media, fashion, technology, music, architecture, and photography. As a freelancer he has done projects for Hello Kitty and other various companies and is currently doing a project with up and coming handbag designer Veronica Suarez (veronicasuarezcollection.com). He is currently looking for a full-time Graphics position and you can contact him at sim_armour@yahoo.com .

Sherry
Sherry is our super talented designer. Every lovely season happens because of her touch. Prior to the Bee, Sherry has done design work for the Crystal Cathedral (Christmas Trees), Disney floats, and many many homes. She is an expert floral designer and amazing merchandiser. If you or anyone you know needs your halls decked for the holidays, email us and we will put you in touch with Sherry.

Alyssa
Alyssa came to us 3 years ago with many diverse talents. She is a professional event and portrait photographer. Alyssa has been our bookkeeper and lead and also goes to the Expo scrapbook shows working the Bee booth. Should you have photography needs, she would love to hear from you at alyssa@theredbee.com .

Candice

Candice is continuing her teaching program in special education at Chapman this fall and is a para-educator at a local elementary school. She is a talented scrapbooker/designer/teacher and you can follow her creative blog at http://www.candicecarpenter.typepad.com/

Robin

Robin is a busy mom of two. She does not use her royal title but prefers to go incognito as more of a commoner. But seriously, Robin is a former fashion designer/developer and expert seamstress. She routinely does sewing work (bags, clothing, etc.) and can quote you on your project. Contact her at reperk@pacbell.net .

Lauren

Lauren is an incredible singer and we have been telling her to audition for American Idol for a while now! Our Saturday layouts, Sunday cards, birthday party projects, and crop projects happen because of Lauren's talents. She also is our instructor for Bead & Breakfast. If you know of another store that could use her teaching or craft designing talents, or if you need a scrapbook designed or jewelry repaired or created, she is the one to contact. You can reach Lauren at lauren_slag@yahoo.com or 801-473-7572.

Crazy Saturday

We at the Bee are full throttle folks. We didn't let a little thing like a store closing sale get in the way of a good time. Our Back-to-Scrap Crop was a fun affair enjoyed by 23 enthusiastic croppers. We also hosted a lovely little girl's birthday party! We are excited to continue our big scrapbook events (and perhaps include the knitters too!) so stay tuned for dates and locations...

We were overwhelmed by our wonderful knitters and scrapbookers last night. Yummy food, enticing beverages, lovely flowers, and a gorgeous Alpaca scarf and shawl made by Joan which will bee worn and treasured. Thank you all for a memorable Friday.

Wednesday Night Farewell Fun

The knitters and scrappers were out in force last night. Sherry, Robin, Michael, Randy, and I so enjoyed seeing all of you. The knitters had deluxe pizzas and cupcakes to celebrate (and made me cry with their sweet card!). We feel so privilaged to have been a home to you all on Wednesday nights. Thank you, thank you.
